I’m slowly trying to get out more and more on my photo walks. Last night around 8:00pm I trekked down to the marina with my super old Canon 5D Classic and the 50mm 1.2. It really is my favourite combo out of all the gear I own. I’ve said it before but, that camera just has something about it and the look of the photos it produces. Combined with the battery grip and somewhat heavy prime lens, it’s not the lightest combo, but it doesn’t really bother me.

It was great seeing people out enjoying the beautiful weather at the Marina. Of course it felt amazing to be out walking around, doing what I love doing. If I could, I would spend all day taking photos. Lake Superior was almost teal in colour, it was quite breathtaking. I ended up spending about an hour walking around slowly, stopping here and there, capturing whatever caught my eye.

I ended up coming with some good landscape photos as well as my usual selection of abstract and still life. I’m already looking forward to my next photo walk. I just have to decide where ….
