For an old camera, the Canon EOS M blows me away each time I use it. Paired with the amazing 22mm lens, they are some of the most beautiful files out of any camera I own. I would say they even beat out photos coming out of my EOS R or 1DX II. They just have a certain feel and character to the photos. It’s quite hard to explain. Shooting with the camera is a slow process of course, but I find that a good thing. The black out time in between shots feels like an eternity and the focusing leaves something to be desired, but I’m just shooting still live objects so it doesn’t matter to me.
All the photos you see here were shot in the backyard or around the house during a visit at my mother in laws. I have captured many a photos at this location because we visit there a lot, but I simply see it as a challenge to come up with new compositions. Luckily it was a gloomy and rainy day, my favourite kind of weather.
And there you have it. Just some simple photos taken in and around a familiar location. You don’t have to travel far to find interesting things to photograph.
