Every once in a while, we steal Willow from my parents, and she stays over for a few days. I love it when she visits because it forces me to go for a walk. This also means that I have to take my camera with me. This time around, I brought along my X-Pro2 paired with the usual 35mm 1.4. As I got the leash out, and latched the camera around my wrist, Willow, somewhat patiently, looked at me eagerly as if to say I wasn't moving fast enough. Then she started howling and growling so I know I was making her wait longer than she wanted. So, off we went.
I ended up walking with her down to Bay Street, in and around that area, and back through the alleys. It was a pretty sunny day, which honestly isn't my favourite type of weather to take photos in, but I still found some interesting composition and shadows. I would say the best shot of the day happened to be perfect timing. There is a hole in the fence about one block away from where we live, and the owners put a bow on the outside. That way when their dog pokes his head through it looks quite comical. Well, overtime I pass by it, the dog is never out. This time however, I heard some distance barking, and I knew this was the moment. Low and behold, I got the shot.
Willow ended up having fun and so did I. If I didn't have to work and I could just walk all day and take photos, I would be in heaven. Perhaps one day soon, preferably before I need a scooter or a cane.
